ilaenrp Zburcharn fine, 1913.911 Born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, 1855? prepared for college in the public schools of Ogdensburg, N. Y., and Winona, Minn. He was graduated from Princeton with the class of 1880. Spent one year in post-graduate study at Princeton as Fellow of Experimental Science. Appointed Tutor of Mathematics in 1881. Went to Leipsic in 1884 and continued his mathematical studies, receiving his degree in 1885. Appointed Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Princeton in 1885. Has been Professor in Mathematics in the University since 1891. Appointed Dean of the Faculty in IQO3. Author of The Number System of Algebra, A College Algebra, and a number of mathematicval papers. Has been Vice-President of the American Mathematical Society. ' S .
