Later, the PRINCETON's mission of Vertical Envelopment was dramatically demonstrated as helicopters rapidly embarked combat Marines and some of their heavy equipment and took off from the flight deck bound for the assault area. The Philippine ensign aboard the American warship marked the presence of his excellency Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Repub. lic, Who honored the PRINCETON with a visit during D Day of OPERATION TULUNGAN. The President's party which also included Mr. William E. Stevenson, American Ambassador to the Philippines and other Philippine and President Macapagal signing Princeton's Guest Log The Presidential Party
