The purpose of any annual is to record, reflect and recall through words and pictures the people, the events, the days during the school year. During these DAYS TO REMEMBER, there have been times when in one sense or another we've made mistakes, but we have met successfully a lot of lively and bewil- dering challenges, and we've often had fun doing it. Here, at any rate, is how we remember the days of this our last year at P.H.S., momentous, often anxious, always exciting, the minutes and hours we have just lived through. We of the Annual Staff have recorded for you memories which otherwise would be lost; therefore, we the staff of the 1963 TIGER hope that the contents of this book will preserve some of these memories so that, in the future, you may turn back the pages and relive some of the happy times, warm friendships and eventful days of your life at P.H.S. Who knows how the future may remember these days? If we reflect back later on how we did manage to deal with the challenges of the last ten years, perhaps we'll have a better perspective on the challenges of the next and the next. Your Editor, 4
