This year the band has made quite a few accomplishments and received several honors. They attend- ed the North Texas Homecoming game last fall and per- formed on the field there with several other bands, in- cluding the North Texas University Marching Band. The band was well represented in the North Texas Honor Band, and several of its members did well in the solo and en- semble contest held at East Texas in Commerce. The Panther Band also has its own Honor Award. Each of the members who learns assigned scales and is able to play required music will receive an award this spring. 52
