Although he is gone, the memory of Billy’s friendly smile and helpful disposition can never be erased. The Council officers, with the aid of the most cooperative, industrious, and successful Student Council in Princeton ' s history, has really done a grand job, and it passes on this firm foundation to future councils. Among the F.T. A. ' s many exploits this year were its annual Student -Faculty basketball game, talks on how to get scholarships and loans for college by Mrs. Groce, and its field trip to East Carolina University. I In all solemnity, these juniors take the Beta Oath as the final step in becoming new members of the Beta Club. Helpful Arnette adds his spoke to the Beta ' s Service Wheel. The Beta Club has promoted the high ideals for which it stands in this supercali- fragilisticexpialadosious school year. Our Homecoming theme was Sleighbells in the Snow. At right, the girls and their escorts perform a Christmas tree figure similar to the traditional Maypole dance. A Homecoming representative is elected from each freshman, sophomore, and junior homeroom and three from the senior class. The Juniors created a true lover ' s paradise, complete with fairyland and fountain. The music by The O ' Kaysions was too good to be ignored. The decorating efforts of the Juniors proved to be well worth while. ' The Seniors took glowing memories of their last Junior- Senior to store with their other high school pleasures. We would particularly like to recognize the dancing ability of some of our guests, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sugg. Mr. Woodard, forget math for a while and live it up! It is an exciting event full of prepara- tion and joy, but it is also a time for contemplation about the future. Graduation Day is a time in which to honor those who have excelled and gone beyond what was required.
