Maturity with the completion of studies which were chosen to prepare us for our future success, and confidence that Princeton has molded us into responsible citizens has made this year a distinct one. From devotion, activi- ty, study, and guidance our characters have developed; and during our stay here, we have grown to love and respect Princeton High School. Social science helps us understand the world in which we live. The mind begins to create at an early age. We have come to admire the leadership and untiring devotion which he has displayed in the task of developing our minds and spirits. For all the hours as our counselor, our teacher, and greatest of all, as our friend, we affectionately dedicate this 1966 Challenger to him. During recent years they have made available career days, vocational guidance, and the neces- sary equipment and opportunity to develop all sides of our personalities --mental, moral, emo- tional, physical, and social. A dministration m AM J. Burke Long Assistant Superintendent Princeton School Committee 10 Dear Seniors: I want to join your parents, teach- ers, and friends in extending congratu- lations to you upon graduation from high school. I am proud of your achievements thus far and wish for you continued success. In the future, please let your mis- takes in life be a stepping-stone to greater achievements. Remember, Babe Ruth never quit playing baseball because he struck out 1330 times. His name is in the Hall of Fame because of the 714 home runs he made. We remember one’s achieve- ments more so than one’s failures. This is wishing you continued success and happiness in life. Sincerely, L. J. Worthington Principal Over the years, Mr. Worthington has watched us develop physically, mentally, and spiritually. The learning and growth of each individual has been important to him. Many times our traveled road has been made easier through his effort. We, the Seniors of 1966, extend our appreciation. I I Hi J HU U 1 pi - 4 ' The Office Staff is composed of students who give their study hall to work in the office each day. They act as general assistants to the principal and teachers. Their work is deeply appreciated by the whole school body. Delivering bulletins is one of the many off ice jobs that these girls perform. Mrs. Gaye Vann, bookkeeper, and Mrs. Jean Langley, secre- tary, are invaluable to our school. They see that all school supplies are bought and paid for. Mr. Dillion Holt is helpful to all students who have problems concerning their school and family life. He aids those seeking a higher education or vocational plans. Malan, our mailman, keeps busy delivering the morning mail. r 0 Give me a quarter’s worth , Danny said. Mrs. Parrish collects lunch money, plans meals, and buys the supplies. They aid the principal, bus drivers, and par- ents in helping students across the streets. 14 gjjgig- Fire Squad Fortunately, we have never had to use these boys except in practice fire drills, but knowing that we could depend on them in case of the real thing gives us a satisfying feeling of security. The fire squad is composed of Senior boys and Mr Nethercutt, their advisor. Custodians Each individual shares in the responsibility of making our school safe, clean, and well-or- ganized. Amanda Watson, Caleb Joyner, and Thomas Joyner play an important role in keeping our school organized. 15 Teachers The Teachers’ Aids pic- tured on this page have ren- dered a number of invalu- able services to the teachers of Princeton High School.
