f , , A 7 x 5 f f WM W On the mormmg of 26 March a new feelmg was rn the anr The departure from the United States was now well passed and ahead was glorious Hawau The water around Ford Island however, was about as close to the beach as the shlp and crew managed to come In all sux more days passed Pearl Harbor was entered and left four times before the Princeton managed to moor to Fox Pler The walt was worth It for no other spot on the face of the earth holds such fasclnatlon The men of the Princeton can vouch that the three days spent In thus sem: tropical garden left some of llfes most wonderful memornes With youth eternal, yet age antique, the splendor of these saphlre Islands amld the dlamond sea enveloped all The sun slnkmg unto the evemng seemed to brush Its golden laps agamst the falr maiden as the mght began to reflect her gems from above Upon departmg a wistful look at the tranqunl lsles made all hands feel that Hawan was the picture of a world of contentment and peace a peace that someday per haps the entlre world would achleve seclusion on remote Nankuli Beach, but always the sparkling white sand, crystal clear water, and emerald green
