A NEW SKIPPER 0 THE B The crew started looking toward home. Change of Command always meant the cruise was almost complete, but there was still work to do. The ship joined task Force '77 for the fourth period in early September. Within weeks, the Panmunjom Korean Peace Talks deadlocked on the prisoner of war issue, and recessed indefinitely. Fighting intensified on all fronts. As September ended the Princeton left Korea for, it thought, the last time. But, as always, plans were changed, and the ship's departure from the Far East was delayed. In early October, new orders arrived. .........' ......... ..... . the ship again returns to the line ................ RIDGE 249
