.ya y Z 1. Three dental oflicers, one to approxima- tely 1000 men, seems like a rather equit- able ratio at first glanceg it is if one confines him- self to counting noses. However, the picture changes as an inventory is taken of the teeth that go with these 3000 noses. Every man is entitled to 32 teeth. Age, neglect, and perhaps a few violent liberties account for a deviation from this allowance on the minus side. But the fact remains that with every man up to complement dental wise, each dental officer aboard has in the neighborhood of 32,000 teeth staring him in the face. ' Aicling in this never ending struggle against time and numbers are four highly trained dental technicians, each a specialist in his field, and three strikers fcandidates for dental specialty coursesj. Your teeth are the responsibility of these ten men of D Division. 2 MEDIC l An airplane crash, fire or similar acci- dent might become a tragedy without the quick skill of the Medical Department. Witli the best and latest equipment, the best Doctors, and Corpsmen the Navy has to offer, the Prince- ton Sick Bay is able and willing to cope with any emergency twenty-four hours a day. Doctors, technicians, and Corpsmen supplement one another in interests and skills for performing all but the most specialized surgery. Less spectacular but equally important are the day to day preventive and curative activities of H Division personnel. These include inspec- tions of food preparation spaces, living spaces and lectures on first-aid and hygiene. Your health is their measure of a job well done by both H Division and their wingmen 'if' the ..... wonders in modern medicine are perform- ed ln the shlp's tiny but complete sick bay ' O MW 'lf 5' I. f X 9431 F 211 - L,-Gsunzh Dr. Snowden guides the Princeton's able medical staff First Row: D.
