Their job is to see that the officers and warrant officers are adequately housed and fed. In comparing their duties with civilian occupations, one would consider the S-4 Division as being in the hotel and catering business inasmuch as these men must be able to perform the many various skills native to this industry. From the acquisition and storage of provi- sions to the final preparation and serving of the food, the stewards are alert in the many detailsg one error could mean an unpalate- able meal and a displeased clientele. During the sustained Flight Operations, usually commencing at 0100, pilots are well fed before being sent on a flight. 2 MEDIC l An airplane crash, fire or similar acci- dent might become a tragedy without the quick skill of the Medical Department. Witli the best and latest equipment, the best Doctors, and Corpsmen the Navy has to offer, the Prince- ton Sick Bay is able and willing to cope with any emergency twenty-four hours a day. Doctors, technicians, and Corpsmen supplement one another in interests and skills for performing all but the most specialized surgery. Less spectacular but equally important are the day to day preventive and curative activities of H Division personnel. These include inspec- tions of food preparation spaces, living spaces and lectures on first-aid and hygiene.
