It is their job to keep the all important flight deck in tip-top shape, from the tearing out and re- placing of huge wooden planks to the every day cleaning. They also fight fires!...the fearful raging infernos of burning gasoline that can wreak havoc. Only through the highest degree of eihciency and teamwork between the men of V-1 does the handling of aircraft on the crowded flight deck reach the perfection necessary to eliminate disastrous trafhc jams.
