We search our minds tonight trying to sort out our thoughts, and we realize that we have walked through the valley of the shadow of death. The loss we feel is great, Our blood, sweat, and tears have been poured into this one called Princeton.', She aches, and so do we. But you have not abandoned us, Lord. We saw evidence of your hand as you walked through the valley with us: no fires, no deaths, plenty of food to eat, genuine concern being expressed for one another, even laughter. So, though we've been wounded, we still live ong Though we are sorrowful, we still rejoice, Though we might feel we have nothing, we still possess everything . . . Because we are more than conquerors through youg Because we know that you work all things together for good for those who love you, Because we are one indivisible nation under you, God Almighty - Americans, who will always stand for liberty and justice for all . . . And so, Princeton retains her honor and glory. And so do we. And now, as we close our prayer . . . we remember our shipmates: Ford, Alino, and Padilla. Bring them complete healing. We remember our Captain and the crew. Calm our fears and make us resilient. We remember our families. Comfort them and assure them our safety. We remember our shipmates on the Tripoli. Restore them for battle. We remember our sister services. Guard and guide them. And finally, we ask that you bring about peace and justice in our world. Amen.
