Remember how short the summer seemed? Remember that long dreadful bus ride? You had ridden that route many times before, but this year was special. The whole routine was being changed. There were sev- en bells a day beginning at 7:35 AM; there were fifty minute lunches; and for the seventh graders, it was like starting kindergarten all over again. They were once again the youngest students in the school. As your foot hit the ground, your face paled. You were excited, but also reluctant to leave the great summer behind. Then, while walking around the building, you saw a group of your old friends. Your fright seemed to steadily fade away, and you began to know that this year was going to be great! As the year progressed, many unique things hap- pened. Remember Gloria? All around the building stu- dent voices were heard asking Are we gonna get out early? Everyone went home that day to prepare for the worst. They stocked up on supplies, taped windows, and put fresh batteries in their flashlights and portable radios. Some even had to evacuate their homes. Remember when we had to plow through the crowd- ed dark hallways during the power failure? Everyone was pushing, shoving and shouting Get out of my way! Many of the memories of our 1985-86 school year may have faded, but we hope that this yearbook will help you to always remember when . . . Hard work goes better with Bubble Yum. . Things aren ' t that bad for Bobby.
