The winning float created by the juniors, sym- bolized a troubled world. Two girls approach the end of the junior half dur ing Homecoming week. The homecoming theme for 1980 was Child of Vision, taken from a song by Supertramp. The decision on the theme came after much heated debate and con- troversy. Half of the voters favored Pall Fantasies, the other half pushed for Child of Vision. There were many af- ternoon debates with Seth Gordon, S.C.A. second vice-president, moderat- ing the arguments. Finally, the dead- lock was broken, and everyone agreed to support the decision: Child of Vis- ion. The theme was interpreted in various ways by the different classes. Most cen- tered on the problems of a troubled world, pointing to the hostages in Iran and the growing problems of pollution.
