Art Club, page 30 Artists Provide Displays, Exhibit Posters For PGJ HS Ever wonder where all those unusual posters around school come from? They might be the produc- tion of some budding artist from the Art Club. The Art Club has many displays in many places. They always have an inter- esting display to present at the productions of the Prince George Theatre, The posters adorn bulletin boards and the walls in the teachers' lounge. On Field Day, one might find himself being painted by the Art Club. This has been found to be one of the major Field Day attractions. A person can express him- self in many different ways with body painting. The club exhibited during the year at the Bollingbrook Art Festival, Walnut Mall, and at the Prince George Courthouse. If you have talent and want to develop it, the Art Club is your club. Beth Jandl decides Susan Crewy needs a paintjob . . . and does something about it! Bernadette Birchett displays her new style of art.

Ibn Beta Club Stresses Hard Work, Success Used to be a students who was intelligent and suc- cessful was usually looked upon as a square and thus avoided. Well, now things have changed. Education is attracting more and more people and most students are maturing more rapidly. The National Junior Beta Club is the place for devel- oping this type of student. It recognizes students who are above average and stand out in some way in the areas of leadership and scholarship. Once a year the Beta Club holds a tapping ser- vice. Students achieving high marks and receiving teachers' recommendations are given the honor of being a member and recognized for their achievements.
