At this meet Charles Fjeld set a school record in the 440 yard dash. His time was :54.l. He also set a record in the 880 yard run in the time 2:05.8. Carl Anderson also set a school record by putting the shot 38 feet 9 inches. At the next meet, the Alta Relays we scored 26 points to again re- cieve third place. Carl Anderson threw the discus 119 feet 7 inches for a new school record. In the Conference meet we placed fifth with 37 7!l0 points Aurelia Relays saw us take fourth place with 27 l!2 points. No and the school records were set in these two meets. In the district meet we had second place and 42 l!2 points. A new school record was set by the two-mile relay composed of Charles rjeid, Ken Merry, Bob Hagedorn, and Don Greenlee. The new time was 8:30.2. In the 880 yard relay a new record of l:35.7 was set. This team is made up of Charles Fjeld, Bob Hagedorn, Don Greenlee, and Rich Steffens. The time for the high ens also es. The two-mile Fjeld and Bill Waund both qualified Charles Fjeld in the 880 yard run was 2:04.5. Bob Byers ran hurdles in :l9.3 both setting new school records. Rich Steff- set a new school record in the pole vault with 10 feet 3 inch- events which qualified for the State meet were: medley relay, relay and 880 yard relay.
