Everyone heads for Rocky's car. Bev and Judy walk home, Rocky's going the other way. Carl, Bob, Le Roy, Larry and Charles decide to eat uptown. They like beans. Hot lunch line at stand still. Teachers are loading plates. Leona finally gets to eat. Doors are still barred and seniors freeze outside. Lockers start to bang. What teacher locked all of them? Mr. Devine checks algebra students for gum. Gary makes trip to wastebasket. Bob H. sticks head into math room and says, 'I'll he right back forgot my booku. Advanced typing students trying in vain to get above 30 words in time test. didn't make it! The fuse is lit. They Mr. Ackermann blows-up. Devine tells joke. Mr. Mr. Ackermann makes new typing grading scale. Nobody passed. Algebra students laugh at Mr. Devine's joke after explanation. Algebra students at board to work problem. Algebra students look for chalk. Typing students are definitely finished. Mr. Devine gives advanced assignment. Mr. Devine shortens assignment. Carl and Bob are working algebra problems on board in study hall DH and Barb race for the library and the HSioux City Journalu. DH wins with the help of Jake. Barb joins other seniors at water fountain. Jake gets out his lunch. Carl and Bob finish algebra problem. Mrs. Wittrock arrives. Senior girls arrive without admit slip. Long drink. Barb and Rocky doing algebra. DH laughing at jokes in Saturday Evening Post. All seniors laugh at DH's joke in the HPostH. Jake and Harold get make-up time. Davis returns HPostU to library. Judy and Leona comparing bookkeeping. Bell rings and Mrs. Wittrock sees relief. Mr. Clemens now takes over. A deep voice in study hall says, HSettle downn. Study hall is dead quiet. Lab tomorrow and he for 3rd time and threatens to throw out break- Rocky gets up. Mr. Clemens awakens son, to do daily push-ups. Leona's up. A11 the farmers doing chores even Leona Mae. Mr. Hoschler warns Seniors for 3rd time to be quiet or 3,000 words New seating arrangement in the back row. Day's lesson starts. Jake attempts to fix blower. Lesson finished. Seniors study Economics. Jake fixes blower.
