College, our having suc- As Bishop of the Diocese of Amarillo, and President of our diocesan fine manner school, I am most grateful to the Christian Brothers for the in which they continue to maintain the scholastic standards at Price, and particularly, I wish to congratulate one of the Texas pioneers among their ranks, Brother Pascal, who has been with the school, heart and soul, since he first arrived here, this year he has crowned his work for Christian youth by celebrating his Diamond Jubilee as a Christian Brother. The dedication of this Annual to Monsignor John A. Steinlage by the Senior Class is a well-deserved tribute to another pioneer, who labored long and strenuously when the school was first struggling to achieve maturity, and who continues to manifest a deep interest in the welfare of the students and the faculty. With my blessing to every one associated with Price College, I remain Devotedly yours in Christ, Bishop of Amarillo and President of Price College ,ff-155, fum ' ' ei T - i -2.3 I It mx nii.iofNrnsus LEGEM XT. .. X . .X Q1 My ll will xv! X f S Dear friends in Christ: As each year passes into history, Price College acquires more of that intangible quality known as tradition which plays such a significant role in the education that is imparted to the students. Our school began and continues in the best traditions of a thoroughly Catholic institution of learning. Thoroughness in basic subjects, one of our cherished traditions, is forcefully vindicated by present world events. lt is particularly fitting that this Annual honors Mon- signor Steinlage, one of the pioneer builders of the solid traditions of Price. l am most happy to extend best wishes to the students, the teachers and the friends of Price College, and to the honoree of this Annual, Monsignor Steinlage. Sincerely, +9104 Most Rev. John L. Morlcovsky Superintendent of Catholic Schools BM W BROTHER H. MARK, F. S. C., M. A. DIRECTOR AND PRINCIPAL Dear Students: The chief purpose of any yearbook is to recall classes, events, and personalities connected with the school year. lt should also be a means of clarifying what your education stands for. Education goes much deeper than mt-rr-ly hook knowledge-included should be principles of living and a philosophy of life. The Brothers have been trying to inculcate proper judgment, worthy ideals, and industry so that you may live full, successful, and worthy lives based on Christ's teachings and the traditions of our great country. Homework constantly assigned and difficult tests are hard on the individual students but good training for responsible positions in later life. The support you have given the school and its activities, the pride you have taken in i'ts successes, the sorrow you have felt when things have not gone so well, all reveal a great deal about yourself. Uuselhsh giving nl your own time and efforts results in a deeper love and appreciation for Price College. A scnse ot loyalty is an important asset to every executive and employee. We hope and trust that you will accept the graces given you, add to them, and attain true success in gaining Heaven. God bless each one of you. BROTHER PASCAL, F. S. C., M. A. The pictures and captions in this book portray the story about the com- panions with whom we attended high school, the activities in which we took part, and the honors which we won. Though there have been many Cardinals in the past we believe this one is the best of them all, for it alone is a part of us.
