GET 'EM, SMITTY ANOTHER FIRST AND TEN FOR PRICE The Trinidad Tigers, a scrappy team, with letter per- fect coordination was the next foe on the Cardinals' schedule. Trinidad, taking Price by complete sur- prise, walked off with a I3-6 victory. Boise City thoroughly out-maneuvered a plucky and stubborn Price eleven to the tune of 26-6. CrowIey's runs and passes coupled with Reynolds' sharp tackles proved ineffectual. I i HOMECOMING RALLY AND CORONATION AH! ROSIE THE CORONATION CEREMONY THE QUEEN AND HER ATTENDANTS f Determination and relentless pressure finally broke the highly-polished Yannigan gridsters and gave us cause for gleeful delight. A 6-0 victory was the Cards' token of homage to the reigning queen, Rosalie Funk. Lamkin and West, ex-Yanns were the night's most glittering stars. Unheralded Don Ackerman led CI rebounding Price squad to an impressive l2-O victory over Vega. Ends Murdock and Boberschmidt and tackle Burris vie for honors. Two previous defeats, 48-12, and had the fans and our local pigskin dubious as to our prowess to revenge the shellackings. Dave FitzSimon had the local fans pop-eyed with his explosive sprints. ln spite of repeated forays into the Horsemen's terri- tory the Cards were unable to plot a course into the end zone. The daily schedule included Holy Mass, rosary recitation, the Way of the Cross, spiritual reading, and three sermons by the retreat master.
