Mr. Vilarr B. Ransom, who teaches al- gebra and helps coach football every fall, is from Preston. He attended B.Y.U. and Utah State University. He has a lovely wife and a daughter Barbara. Mr. Riansom's pet peeve is- Cold weather! Carrie M. Tobler, a native of Pocatello, Idaho, instructs our girls in homemaking. Mrs. Tobler attended the University of Idaho and Utah State University. She has three children, two girls and a boy. Her hobbies are quite obvious, cook- ing, sewing, and playing the piano. 20 Our outstanding music director for many years has been Lyle Shipley. Besides mu- sic, Mr. Shipley teaches 3 classes of U.S. History. Mr. Shipley is a native of Preston and attended Utah State University. His family includes his wife, Donna, and fo-ur children, two boys and two girls. Mr. Shipley has an interesting hobby-tropical fish. He also likes to hunt and fish. His per peeve is A student who does nothing. iii Fruit, A new face has been added to our ln- strumental Music Department this year. J. Golden Ward hails from Malad, Idaho, and he attended Utah State University. His family includes Just a wife. His hobby is good music and his pet peeve is people who never have a serious thought. ln her third year at Preston High is Virginia Thompson. Miss Thompson teaches a variety of subiects which include physi- cal education, type and shorthand. She comes from Spring City, Utah, and she has attended San Angelo Junior College in San Angelo, Texas, Snow Junior College, and Utah State University. Her hobbies include sports and ceramics, and her pet peeve is unprepared students and fouled up type ribbons. i l i Last, but not least, is Warren D. Wilde, teacher of U.S. History, American Prob- lems, U.S. Government and our assistant basketball coach. Coming from Mink Creek, Mr. Wilde graduated from Preston High and attended the University of lda- ho, Idaho State University and Utah State University. He enioys hunting, fishing and athletics. Students who talk when they should be listening, is his pet peeve.

l ! Hailing from Mink Creek, ldaho, is our commercial teacher, Betty Jo Jepsen, Mrs. Jepsen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas L. Nelson and married Glen F. Jepsen, also a graduate of Preston High. She attended U.S.U. Her hobby is sewing and she has only taught a year so she doesn't have a pet peeve-yet! Not an unfamiliar face at P.H.S. is Carl P. Nielson, advanced algebra, trigo- nometry and geometry teacher. Mr. Niel- son comes from Carmangay, Alberta, Can- ada. He attended the University of ldaho, Utah State University, and the College of ldaho. He enioys hunting and fishing and his pet peeve is indecisive people. Mariorie Keller, English instructor at Preston High comes from Tremonton, Utah. She attended Utah State, University of ldaho, and ldaho State University. Her family consists of three daughters and a son. Her hobby is textile painting and ill-mannered adults is her pet peeve. i963-64 John G. Olson, our biology teacher, is not new to us although this is his first year teaching high school. Mr. Olson's hometown is Payson, Utah. He attended Brigham Young University and Utah State University. He hats a lovely wife and six daughters. He likes to raise flowers and enioys carpenter work. Peo- ple who talk with nothing to say annoy him. f Z Our history teacher at Preston High is Sherman Lindhardt, who claims Preston as his hometown. Mr. Lindhardt, a graduate of Preston, attended Utah State University. His family consists of one little wife and his hobbies are hunting, fishing, and reading. Believe it or not, he has no pet peeves. Another vocational agriculture instructor is Lincoln A. Orme, who comes to us from Nephi, Utah. He attended Utah State Uni- versity ancl the University of ldaho. He has a wife and seven children, four boys and three girls. His hobby is photography. Pet peeve- I have new ones every day, so l can't keep any long enough to make pets out of them. A t W is il ' l9
