When to us our work did not matter, Nor worry for study had we, We took with a grin all the banter - The scoldings beside the teacher's knee. We will long for the fun, wOrk, and laughter, That now are but fond memories. As we must in the days here and after, We will long for our school days so free. We will long for our playmates of childhood Who played with us day after day. And little we dreamed how we loved them, Until they had gone far away.
