A hushed audience and soft lit stage awaited the Homecoming candi- dates’ parade down the aisle. Thump- ing hearts anxiously awaited the crowning of the queen. Patty Krogs- tad was chosen Preston’s 1972 Homecoming queen by the student body. Her court included Pat Fitz- gerald, Charlene Tienter, Barb Wil- son, and Carol Runningen. Mike Fitzgerald acted as Master of Cere- monies. A pep talk was given by Jo- seph Falkner. King Kiel’s court in- cluded Paul Slostad, Scott Snyder, Jerry Hampel, and Andy Bunge. Lisa Case and Brian Hovelson were flower girl and crown bearer. The festive moment ended with a bonfire provided by the sophomore class. Ev- eryone joined the cheerleaders for a lively pep fest.
