The year is 1975 and the graduating class of 1958 is gathering for their class reunion. The reunion is being held at the world famous Ronald Olson, Chicago’s newest and most beautiful hotel, owned and operated by Preston's own Ronnie Olson. The first to arrive is Sigrid Halverson who is providing the music for the afternoon. Her world- famous orchestra, The Halverson Hep-Cats, will perform throughout the afternoon. Immediately follow- ing Miss Halverson is Wayne Marzolf who has just been named Secretary of Agriculture to replace Ezra Taft Benson, who has resigned due to bad health. Secretary Marzolf is followed by the President of the United States, Don O'Connor, to whom he is deeply indebted for his present position. Next to arrive is Janet Yaste who is the Business Manager for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, and she is accompanied by her classmate and colleague Pat Strahl, whose outstanding ability as an operator has gained her the title of Miss Bell of 1975. A deafening roar accompanies the arrival of Lynn Wubbels on his new Super-Cycle. Accompanying him is his personal dentist Glen Engle, whose new tooth replacing techniques have made him world famous. The next to arrive are Harriet Beck and Kay Kleimenhagen who have just re- turned from Hollywood where they have been recording a new album. Accompanying them is the re- nowned world traveler and writer John Bates who has flown here in his private plane from Texas. Just arriving from Paris is the well-known fashion designer, Marcia Durst and her fiance; the prince of France. The refreshment for this occasion are being supplied by Donna Hires, formerly known as Donna Hanson, whose chain of Root Beer stands, circles the world. Next to arrive is the Master of Cere- monies, Clark Berg, who is at present, the President of the National Toastmasters Club. Screaming is heard in the hall as Tom, cheaper by the dozen, Lahmers arrives with his wonderful wife and family of twelve. Tom has certainly aged considerably since his graduation. Next to arrive is the world's champion bowler, Pat Gartner. Pat has also just published a new book entitled How to beat the Stamp Racket. Yvonne Hanson is the next to arrive. Her famous hairstyles have been praised by Yul Brynner. The menu has been planned by Judy Roelofs. The food has been prepared by Chef Howard Hayes and his dishwashing assistant Lud Gartner. Milo Broadwater, who is now a star forward for the Minneapolis Pud- dlers, is next to arrive. The mural on the walls have been painted by Emily Ristau, who is now a world famous painter. The model for the mural, as we all can see, is Ernest Kinneberg. Arriving a few moments later is the person who has designed all the furniture in the room, Elaine Cleveland. There have been no casualties so far. Jim Hovelson is busy trying to sell shoes to all his classmates to help support his ever growing family. Eileen O’Connor is the next to arrive. It has just been an- nounced that she has been named Model Homemaker of the Year. Willy Cambern, who is now an un- dertaker and who is known for his fifty dollar funerals arrives. Willy seems to be sizing up everyone. Well, everyone seems to be here, I guess we can eat! Suddenly a loud cry is heard in the entry. Mike Gross comes rushing into the room. Mike, by the way, is a conductor on the Milwaukee Road. We are all sorry to say that Scientist Dean Gillund has flown to the sun and the missile that he was riding in melted, so he has no way to return. Also, unable to attend are Barb Fairbairn and Sharon Broadwater, who are starring on a television program called Old Maid's Hour. We understand it is quite success- ful. Oh, oh-Here comes Mr. Scanlan in his 57 Mercury; better late than never. 42 Class Will I, John Bates, will my guitar and cowboy boots to Laurie (I like Roy Rogers) Roelofs.
