The Class of '52 is about to leave on the new, exclusive, atomic propelled Sea Diver donated by the Chemistry Experimental Class of Preston High School. We are going to go to Professor Einstein's atomic heated, transparent, modernistic home of glass, plastic, and rubber that is located 1,000 feet below sea level at approximately 64,200 pounds of pressure. I count 34 '52 graduates-oh, here comes the 35th student of Preston High. It is none other than that handsome agriculturist of Iowa who was named Farmer of the Year. He is Allan Meister. The Sea Diver has ample room for every activity. As we stroll through the halls we find a gym. We see Loyal Ekholm and Cutris Chil- son talking over their high school football days . Loyal is now All American Half Back. Curt is head coach for the California Bears. Over in another corner we find Joe Walsh and Bill Walsh who are both World Champion boxers in their divisions. Next we see Jane Severson, girl jockey, who rides her own horse in the Corona Del Mar races. Jane is talking to Jane Anderson who tours the country with the Italian Symphony Orchestra doing solo work on her piccolo. We notice Robert Froemming at the controls of our Sea Diver. He tells us that we are nearing the Einstein residence. Bob is our speaker for the day. He will speak on the New Revised Atomic Theory. We see Shirley Thompson scooting around the corner. She is the girl Drum Major for the U.S. Navy Band. Miriam Graskamp has just received nomination to the New York Bar Association. She has been studying law since '52. Pat Anderson is a world renowned pianist and she is now giving lessons on piano and other instruments. Another pianist who has made her debut at Carnegie Hall is Lorys Gluen. There goes the telephone; telephone, what an odd thing to have under the water, but anything can happen when Mr. Fix-It; namely, James Kel- sey is in charge. He just received a patent on his invention. Of course, when the telephone rings we are sure to hear Bette Narveson's pleasant voice. She is head of Bell Telephone Company and will also manage under water communication. Pearly Strahl is telling our mechanic, James Burns, who owns a New York repair shop, of his experiences with the Hell Divers. We are about to listen to a wonderfully planned program by Maxine Kiefer, successful, responsible editor of The World Peace Annual. Sit- ting next to Maxine we find Inex Becker who is librarian at Memorial Library at Washington D. C., and who has written two books on an easier way of learning shorthand. I just picked up an edition of Underwater News. I see that Audrey Behnke is editor of the new edition of Farm Journal and Farmer's Wife. In her magazine we find a large section on Orval Elliot who is the Geodetic Surveyor and is touring the country this year. As we pass the President's office we find Marian Christensen busily typing a Presidental speech. In the next room we find Dorothy Ristau keeping books and checking files for the Treasury Department. 16 Just back from his vacation in Europe is the President of the Transportation and Communication Board, Jack Kelsey. Stepping off one of his great planes is Kathleen Mangan who has been on a tour of the West Coast. She is the head of the Sewing Department of Universal Pictures. Talking over Home Ec. ideas are Dorothy Severson and Lorraine Thomas. Dorothy is now designing even- ing wear for the Powers Model Agency. Lorraine has just had a cook book published. Donalda Pierce now joins them. Donalda is a very successful model for the Powers Model Agency. The program of the day has just begun as we see the Master of Ceremonies, Charlotte Snyder, Professor of Elementary Teachers at the University of International Education. Giving us a sales talk is Elenor Vande Zande. She is a saleslady of the Cosmetic City, Cologne, France. Thelma Torgeson has a position as Advertiser for the Cologne factory situated on the Rhine. Just introduced is Vivian Tienter, hair stylist for European, Asiatic, and American models. She will present to us in picture some of the styles of yesterday and today. Coming into the limelight is Verna Mae Omacht, flute soloist for the Philharmonic Orchestra who will favor us with one of her numbers. Phyllis Walsh is now on stage. She is appearing on television as the most photogenic woman in the United States. Leanore Paulson has just flown back from her missionary duties in Alaska. She has come to tell us of the hardships and religious beliefs of the natives of that country. Last of all we shall now unveil the masterful work of Ora Mae Ashton wo has sculptured a memorial in honor of a deceased classmate. This is only our prophecy of the future! What the future holds we do not know.We shall see in twenty-five years. CLASS RING Take the world as you find it - make it better.
