And we have a memo here from a student at Presentation High School about their Opening Mass , ' Yesterday, September 12, 1980 was Presentation High School ' s Opening Mass, The celebration took place in our school ' s spacious courtyard The mass was very beautiful, and the fine sunny weather mode us especially cheerful. The mass was cele- brated by Father Brown from St, John Vianney ' s Parish, The theme of the mass was Somewhere We Have Never Traveled , Each student was giv- en a ' ticket to ride ' in the form of a Boarding Pass. Each Boarding Pass had a blank line where every girl could fill in her destination. Different types of destinations included the California Scholarship Federation, college, and Heaven, As the mass fi- nally came to a close, the school year ahead of us officially began, ' Father Brown prepares communion 49
