As head of the Mathematics Department, Mr. J. C. Bender teaches Algebra 3-4 and Engineering Math. He is also a sponsor for FTA and the Junior Class. Mr. M. J. (Pop) McNarie has taught at Prescott Hiqh for many years. In addition to teaching Geometry 1-2 and General Math, Mr. McNarie is a member of the Merit Cup Committee and is also a Sophomore Class sponsor. Mr. Marion Bigelow smiles as he answers one of his Geometry 1-2 students. He also teaches General Math and works as one of the Sophomore Class sponsors. Mr. Jack Orr teaches Algebra 1-2 at PHS. He also coaches JV football and wrestling, and is a Sophomore Class sponsor. —23—

New to PHS. Mr. Alfred Frank teaches Civics and Current World Affairs. Mr. Frank is also the Junior Varsity basketball coach and a Junior Class sponsor. Mr. Dean McIntosh, head of the Social Studies Department, teaches Civics 1 2, and is a Senior Class sponsor. Teachinq Psychology 1-2 at PHS is Mr. Dwight Bennett. Mr. Ben- nett is also a Senior Class sponsor and the sponsor of the Arizona Club. —22—

Drama. Art, Crafts. Music, and Driver's Training are included in the Fine Arts Department of Prescott High School. In Theater Arts, Mrs. Ethel Tyson teaches stu- dents the art of acting, and produces all school plays. As Crafts teachers. Mr. Harber and Mr. Hunt teach students to use their hands in creating objects from leather, clay, and other materials. Under the direction of Mr. Hunt and Mr. Clem- ens. art students learn to express themselves through art. Mrs. Ethel Tyson teaches Theatre Arts and TV Productions, and is in charge of all plays and helps with the musical. She sponsors Thespians and is a Senior Class sponsor. Mr. Stanley Harber teaches Crafts, is a Sophomore Class sponsor, and is on the Arts and Crafts Committee. Mr. Phillip Clemens orders art supplies for his Art classes. He sponsors the Art Club and is a Senior Class sponsor. —24—
