Mr. Ray Wherley teaches English 7-8B. He is new to the PHS teaching staff. Mr. Wherley is also varsity track and cross country coach and a Senior Class sponsor. Mrs. Luanne Lea teaches English 3-4A, 7-8A, and 7-8 Honors. She is also a Sophomore Class sponsor. -r I Mrs. Dorothy Cordes teaches English 5-6B. She is a Yellowjackets sponsor and a Sophomore Class sponsor. Mr. Jay Jones teaches Basic Education 3-4 and 5-6. He sponsors FTA and is also a Sophomore Class sponsor. Mrs. Dorothy Galde teaches sophomore and senior English. Mrs. Galde is one of the sponsors of Yellowjackets. She also works on the National Honor Society Committee, the Lang- uage Arts and Counseling Guidance Committee and is a Sophomore Class sponsor. — 17—

Mrs. Virginia Knudtson teaches English 5-6 and Junior Honors English classes. She is a Junior Class sponsor and a sponsor of the National Honor Society. Mrs. Knudtson also participates in the Language Arts Committee and American Education Week. % A new edition to the English department this year is Mr. Peter Derven. Mr. Derven teaches English 3-4 and is a Senior Class sponsor. i m Teaching Speech 1-2 this year is Mrs. Mary DeWillis. She also teaches English 5-6 and 7-8. Mrs. DeWillis sponsors the Speech Club and is a Sophomore Class sponsor. Mr. Hadley Hicks waits for his English 5-6 students to come to class.
