Mr. Doug Williams, principal, is interested in all that goes on at Prescott High. This is Mr. Williams' sixth year here at PHS. For two years he taught PE, and then for the next three years he was assistant principal. Before coming to Prescott, Mr. Williams attended the University of Arizona and received his BS and Masters Degree. After serving in the Army, Mr. Williams taught school for two years in Bisbee and two years in Douglas. Mr. Williams and his wife. Laramie, have three sons and two daughters. Of his favorite hobbies, Mr. Williams puts camping and rock collecting on top. — 13—

Mr. Abia Judd serves as Superintendent of Prescott Public Schools. Mr. Donald Head worlts at his law office in Prescott. Mr. Head was elected to the School Board when Mr. McMullen retired in January. Twice a month the school board meets in regular session. They decide what should be done concerning Prescott Public Schools. Members of the school board are Mr. Herschel McMullen, Mr. James Armour, Mr. Stan Power, Mr. Gifford Franks, Mr. Harold Wolfinger, and Mr. Abia Judd. Mr. Herschel McMullen retired from the school board January I, 1969. Mr. Don Head was elected in October to fill Mr. McMullen's place. Mr. McMullen has lived in Prescott 52 years and has served on the school board for nine years. Members of the School Board this year are, standing, Mr. Gifford Franks and Mr. Harold Wolfinger. Seated are Mr. James Armour, Mr. Herschel McMullen, 1968 president, and Mr. Stan Power. — 12—

Mr. Ray Provost was a teacher at Prescott Junior High School until two years ago, when he went to work at the Rocky Mountain Edu- cational Laboratory for one year as an Arizona field representative. Last year Mr. Provost went to school at Northern Arizona University where he did his graduate work in School Administration. As an assistant principal, Mr. Provost's main responsibilities are directed toward edu- cational services, Student Council, and over- all scheduling. Dedicated to working at school with the students is Mr. Donald Cook, assistant prin- cipal. For 10 years Mr. Cook was principal at Gilbert High School. He also served as prin- cipal at Wickenburg High School from 1960- 1966. For the '66-'67 school year, Mr. Cook came to Prescott High and taught Coopera- tive Education, Consumer Economics, and Typing II. Mr. Cook is the director of athletics and schedules all of the games. Mr. Cook is also the disciplinarian for PHS. He says he simply tries to be fair . Mr. Ray Provost, assistant principal, is sponsor of Student Council and is in charge of student scheduling. Mr. Donald Cook, assistant principal, is the director of athletics and is also disciplinarian. —u
