' Ships-from row boats to ocean liners-may be large and beautifulg they may be small and seemingly insignifi- cant. Not always do the largest and most beautiful vessels contain the best material. Each has its purpose. This is true of human beings. Often the most beauti- ful are not made of any better material than the seem- ingly insignificantf' Each has a place in life. If this volume in later years sails into port with a cargo of joy and happiness the book has accomplished its purpose.
