Class History In the fall of '52 fifteen green Freshmen enrolled in Prescott High School. They were: Evelyn Chapman, Carol McCarty, Donna Lyles, Patricia Ryan, Janice West, Melvin Birt Phyllis Blazek, Jerry Leach, Marilyn Shinkle, Nila O'Ri1ey, Rosalie Rychnovsky, Ronald Looney, Joe Scanlan, Ida Dueling and Billy Brezo. We were welcomed into High School with initiation day, which each and every one of us enjoyed. We then felt like we were a part of the high school. The Freshman class officers were: President ---------------- Donna Lyles Vice President ------- ---- C arol McCarty Secretary and Treasurer - - - - - Evelyn Chapman Student Council Rep. --------- Patricia Ryan Sponsor ------------------- Mr. Sly Near the end of the year we gained J ack Van Vleet from Bedford. We started our Sophomore year with the same pupils. Shortly after the beginning of the year Kitty Cross joined our class and Billy Brezo left us. Parties and fun were our highlights of our Sophomore year. The class officers were: President ----------- - - - Melvin Birt Vice President ------ - - Phyllis Blazek Secretary and Treasurer - - - -Jack Van Vleet Student Council Rep. - - - - - - -Joe Scanlan Sponsor ------------------- Mr. Sly The high spots of our Junior year were the Junior Play, the arrival of our class rings and Junior-Senior Banquet. When Jerry Haigler moved here from Shenandoah, we had sixteen members in our class. Junior officers were: President - - - ' ' ' ' ' Jack Van Vleet Vice President ------ - - Carol McCarty Secretary and Treasurer - - - - Evelyn Chapman Student Council Rep. - Jerry Haigler Class Sponsors ------ Mr. Danner and Mrs. Ditto We started out our Senior year with one less member, Evelyn Chapman. During the year we also lost I oe Scanlan who transferred to Corning. The big events of our Senior year were our Skip Day, class play and Graduation.
