We had to carry the seniors books to and from classes and at noon we had to carry their dinners After dinner they took some pictures and we were marched through town barefooted, on hard gravel, and back again That night, we were given a party at the schoolhouse, and were required to do a number of things Everybody had to perform various embarrassing acts Everybody had to take off their shoes and put them on the stage We were taken down stairs, one at a time, blind folded and made to crawl along a plank where water was squirted on us, and were fed different things telling us it was some other weird thing Then they took us upstairs Again we were blindfolded and taken in cars to the cemetary After that we ran ahead of the cars to the schoolhouse When we got inside we found our shoes were gene.
