Q Q AW In the fall of 'S0', eighteen frightened freshmen started on the road to high school education They were, Joan Brown, Joye Ryan, Lois Williams, Lavon Polson, Beverly Hagle, Juliene Hofmiester, Gloria McKee, Gail Pritchard, Ella Coleman, Dorothy Vicker, Joanne Blazek, Ronald Schaumburg, Leo Givan, Roberta O'R1ley, Darwin Bissell, Jerry Cunningham, Arthur Miner, and Gerald Luther, This group of freshmen were even more frightened at the thought of initiation But it turned out to be a day of fun and after the program and refreshments that evening, the green fres men, felt like regular members of P H S and decided they would rather enjoy their stay Fres men officers were as follows President Lavon Polson Vice President Gerald Luther Secretary and Treasurer Lois Williams Sergeant at Arms Dorothy Vicker Student Council Representative Ella Coleman Sponsor Hr Murdock After working their way through the first year they found thmmselves sophomores During the year Ronald Schaumburg moved to Oklahoma and Gerald Luther moved to B edford leaving only sixteen in the class.
