In the fall of ' 9, twenty somewhat frightened freshmen entered Prescott High School They were Jean Brown, Duane Young, Carl Israel Donald Grill, Richard Crlll, Virginia Bauer, Nayne Victor, Tom Goodwin Mathew Miller, Sandra Brandt, Kenneth Lyles, Shirley Brown, John Gibson Jeanne Hollingsworth Kay James, Donna Gourd, Sibyl Noragon, Gilbert Travis Jack Gray, and Doyle Perry Although the freshmen who were entering high school were frightened at the thought of initiation it was a great success and not as bad as it sounded The freshmen were told by the seniors the day before what to wear When we got to school that day we were greeted by seniors with lip stick in hand, which they smeared all over our faces That night a pro gram was held in the assembly for the high school with the freshmen acting out stunts prepared by the seniors Several other parties were held during the season which were a vreat success Officers for our freshman year were President Tom Goodwin Vice President John Gibson Secretary and Treasurer Sandra Brandt Sergeant of Arms Jean Brown Student Council Representative Shirley Brown Queen Candidate Sandra Brandt When school started ln the fall of '50, we had lost Jack Gray, Sibyl Noragon, and Doyle Perry We held several parties during our sophomore year that were quite successful We were asked to present a one act play for the Nabonsie Conference held at Sharpsburg The name of the play was nLife of the Partyn, which was directed by Mrs Phillip Sturm This play was also presented at P T The cast was as follows Wilbur Betty Lou Mrs Maxwell Mr Maxwell Mary Bernadine Judy Jack Cliff Bob Frank Prompter President Vice President Secretary and Treasurer Sergeant of Arms Student Council Representative Queen Candidate Kenneth Lyles Shirley Brown Donna Gourd John Gibson Kay James Jean Brown Sandra Brandt Duane Young Nayre Victor Mathew Miller Tom Goodwin Virginia Bauer Gilbert Travis did not return in the fall of 'S John Gibson Duane Young Sand a Brandt Wayne Victor Tan Goodwin Jean Brown 14, . . : ' ' 3 n A I o o Y n S . . . . Q Ha., On October 25 and 26 the Junior Class presented the play 'Take It Easy' We had a large attendance both nights the play was presented The class enjoyed presenting it as much as we think the audience enjoyed it The proceeds from the play were 51514, for both nights The play centers around Hrs Highgate, who is very forgetful and gets many names mixed up She is trying to keep from being outdone in her social set Her daughter, Nancy, is in love with a boy her mother has ordered from the house, but she hires him back mistakedly as a painter of her portrait Then she hires another painter for the kitchen and an uninvited guest suddenly drops in They are all of the same appearance and similar names Her maid Florence and the butler Philip fell in love and Florence gets a disease called 'Pocketites ' Also one of the painters falls in love with the cook A detective comes into the household look ing for a thief which he finds Many laughs are supplied by Arthur when he is chased by the cook, Mary.
