Society P T A MEETINGS September 7 1950 Forty-sixth annual teachers reception School Auditorium October 12, 1950 Dr R H Herren, of the State Health Department explained the course of the polio epidemics and showed a film on the relation of Physics Therapy in dw rehabitation of Polio Cases School Auditorium November 9 1950 Men furnished the program and served the refreshments School Auditorium December lu, 1950 Operetta nK1dnapping Santa Claus by first four grades with the help ofthdr teachers Miss Moffitt, Mrs Beauchamp, and Mr Bundy, School Auditorium January 18, 1951 Play nL1fe of The Partyf by Sophomore Class Song by Sextette Open Ynuse by having demonstration classes in various subjects School Auditorium February 8 1951 Operetta nMu1ligan's Magic, by the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth gnmhs with the assistance of their teachers Mrs Briles, Mr Dotson, and Mr Bundy March 8 1951 Musical program under the direction of Mr Bundy School Auditorium April 12, 1951 The Home Economic Department nad charge of the entertainment for this meet ing They displayed some of the many things they had made in Home Economics the past year under the direction of Mrs Sturm Election of officers also took place at this meeting School Auditorium The P T A Barn Dance, a special event of the year was held October 20, 1950 at the theater There was a profit of S139 OO Coach and Mrs Sturm were hosts to the boys and girls basketball team,the cheerleaders and student managers at a party on February 22, 1951 we entered the recreation hall, we were handed a card which had UHowdyn written across the top The next step was to go around and have all the kids sign it The game is then carried on much the same as bingo Next we played HOrange Relay which gave room for many a laugh Claudean Lundhigh and Arnold Nelson, who are honory captains of their respective team choose for it The rest of the evening was spent dancing and playing cards Mr and Mrs Sturm served delicious refreshments of sandwiches, pop,potamr chips and relish plate Other guests were Mr and Mrs Strickfaden, Mr and Mrs Bundy, Mr nnudodg Irs Forest Polson, Mr and Hrs Lloyd Hollingsworth, and Mr and Mr Harley'Tmr ner. We would like to thank Coach and Mrs Sturm for the lovely evenings enter tainment they provided for us HIGH SCHOOL PARTY Success with a capital NSN was the word for the Sock Hop sponsored by the Seniors and held in the gym on Jan 26 1951 Admission was charged by measur- ing the foot and charging a penny per inch Jaen Henry and Harvey Brandt, ex grads took the prize for the biggest feet with lh inches each The Clearfield students were invited to attend but they were una le to stay because of the cold The evening was spent dancing and at the end refreshments of pop, hot dogs, and candy were served O D I ll H , I BASKETBALL PARTY As l .
