Gurls Basketball Team Left to Right Joan Brown, Sandra Brandt, Carol Beatty, Chestine Crowell, Jean Brown, Rosemary Hollingsworth, larilyn lcKee, Skip Davis, Betty Ryan, Carita Outhier, Claudean Lundhigh, Jeanne Hollingsworth Chaperone Hrs Sturm, Coach Mr Sturm, Student lanager Collette Pottinger The beginning of the season opened rather unsuccessfully with two losses for our girls One by a margin of 31 33 to Cromwell, and the other 3h 36 to Blockton In the next game with Gravit we finally hit a winning streak that helps us to overcome Gravity girls S 3 After our regular games, we journeyed to Gravity where the games of the Waubonsie Tournament were held The girls won the first two games they play ed, which took them to the finals death to Blockton, by a margin of After winning next two regular traveled to Clearfield to take part first two games against Redding and Ego lost in a double overtime a sudden 3 games against Sharps and Clearfield, we in the Sectional Tournaments We tooki e Lenox only to be defeated by Gravity who we had beaten twice during our regular season We felt we had quita a successful season as it ended with seven lost out of twenty three starts, including tournaments We also took two second place trophies, in the Waubonsie and Sectional Tourneys Four of our first six girls will graduate this year, and we w1l1.dl feel the loss greatly They are Claudean Lundhigh forward, Carita Outhier forward Rosemary Hollingsworth guard, and lartha Davis guard ' .W v nf 1 L, - 2.

Basketbo ll James Rychnovsky, Reldon Cline, Arnold Nelson, Duane Young, Jim Mulford, Tom Goodwin, Donald Brandt, Kenny Lyles, Richard Bnown Prescott started their second season under Coach Phil Sturm with five returning lettermen They were Arnold Nelson, Jamesxvdr novsky, James Mulford, Reldon Cline, and LeRoy Todd This year letter men are Arnold Nelson, Larry Campbell, an ny Brown, James Bychnovsky, James Mulford, Reldon Cline, Tom Good win, Duane Young, Kenny Lyles, Donnie Brandt, and Morris Claussen The Eagles seasons record was won 17 and lost Their con ference record was 10 wins and 2 losses In the Naubonsie Tour nament they advanced to the finals and lost to the host team Grav ity.
