Senior PropheCY In the summer of 1961, the Senior Claes of 1951 met at the lr. and Irs. Bob O'Dougherty residence for a class reunion. Clrs. O'Dougherty was the former Rosemary Ho1l1ngsworth.l The host and hostess had sent their S children to a day nursery for the occasion. When all the guests had arrived and everyone had become fully reacquainted, Rosemary escorted us through her push-button mansion. Afterwards we went to the patio for tea and remlnissing. Everyone was anxious to know what his elass ates had been doing the last ten years. Arnold was ready to get things under way. Be had bought himself a large ranch in Wyoming and had become a prominent M-H lead- er. As of yet, Arnie and his cattle were the only ones on the ranch. Although Carita and Dallas had only gone together a few times during our high school days we were all certainly surprised when they walked into the door as Mr and Mrs They had made their home in Prescott and were owners of the Ritz Carleton Hotel there Dick, who was always bragging about what a good driver he was, really did break some driving records He was now better known as 'Speed King B own and had won several trophies on the Indianapolis Speedway He had finally torn his Studebaker up and used parts of it to make a hot rod Mabel, the quiet girl of our class, went on to nurses school after gradd ating from high school She was now Head Nurse at the Prescott Community Bos pital Clevune was now sole owner of a large beauty salon in Hollywood Incmr school days she always declared she would be the only old maid in the class but she was about ready to celebrate her fifth wedding anniversary Clevune was mar ried in a quiet ceremony officiated by the Reverend Larry Campbell Larry had been officiating weddings for five years now but had never made any such plans for himself larjo was now Hrs Hiram Weederblunk, whose husband was the scientist who perfected the gland medicine that makes people grow taller Marilyn, who had always planned on being a buyer for department stores changed her plans and became a comic strip artist after having four yearsof suc cess drawing pictures of teachers As everyone came in the door of Rosemary's house, they got a short campaign speech given by Danny Brown who was running for Republican Representative of Iowa All of us received pamphlets about Danny which were given out by Audrey Henderson, his private secretary She had been working for Danny for dune years and from the looks of the diamond on Audrey's hand, they were making plans to be together for a few more years The last two of our class, cf'Sl are Skip and I Immediately after gradu ation we entered the Waves and the life seemed to agree with us because we had made seweral promotions and are intending to stay in the service lndefintely This concludes the visit with the Seniors '51 We wonder what the nedt un years will bring about?99?99?9???9?
