Cogether . . . in our classes For nearly 50 years boys and girls studied and lived on separate campuses. Starting with this academic year the old Pres-Mex campus at Taft was closed and the program of the new Presbyterian Pan American School was consolidated on the permanent campus being developed near Kingsville. Truly it was a strange, but pleasant, sight to see boys and girls study- ing and living on the same campus. This also is the first year that students from both Anglo and Hispanic-American backgrounds have been admitted. Christian students from Guatemala, Mexico and the United States enrolled. Students now are selected on the basis of ability rather than of need. The thought is of quality, not quantity. A necessary quali- fication for admission is the recommendation of the Session of a Presbyterian Church. The Presbyterian School has two departments now in operation. the preparatory or senior high school and the college departments. A special, intensive Eng- lish course was being planned for the Summer of 1958
