Like Jack's beansTaIk, iT grew and grew, unTiI now The subscripTion IisT is nearing The ZOO mark, and The TuTure seems secure. The new name STudenT PrinTs appeared as The resuIT oT a conTesT, and The I-Ienderson Twins may be proud oT Their conTribuTion. The paper has TaiThTulIy chron- icled evenTs oT inTeresT To Maxwell Hall residenTs, and has endeavored To wield a pro- gressive iniluence on sTudenT opinion. IT was originaTed by members oT our class To supply The crying need Tor good new books which would be easily available To everyone in The hall. The library is sponsored by The STudenT GovernmenT and The original seIecTion oT TourTeen books was purchased by The STuclenT Government A small renTal Tee Tor books which are borrowed makes possible The addiTion oT new'TicTion and non-TicTion books Trom Time To Time. Many people have generously donaTed books so ThaT The library grew apace Trom The beginning. SeIecTion oT new books is made on The basis oT requesTs Trom members oT The library. A commiTTee chairman, appoinTed by The ExecuTive Council, has charge oT The library, and seIecTs her own assisTanTs. Books are exchanged Twice a week. The consensus ol opinion was lhal nursing would be a suilable career lor a daugh- ler allhough lhe negalive ran a lairly close second. The young man musl possess lirsl ol all inlelligence, secondly good manners, con- sideralion, a sense ol humor, and lar down on lhe lisl lour mercenary young ladies insisled upon money. The ideal young man is very obscure, lor mosl ol lhe girls have nol lound him allhough scallered here and lhere llor lulure relerence il you wanl ill we lind lhe names ol Drs. Schullinger, Sl. John, Slevenson, and R. Moore. K Easl is lhe mosl popular ward wilh L Easl coming second. The popularily, il seems, depends on lhe head nurse. V The Operaling Room runs lirsl in prelerence lor a special service because il is exciling and dillerenl. Nurses are lilerary minded in lheir lime oll duly lhough a greal number lind lime lo sleep. The Dramalic Club is lhe mosl popular organizalion. Dislikes run a varied course, namely, dressing al six-lilleen, black shoes and while panls, scallops and cream pulls, lalking shop, Maxwell Hall meals and service, llallery, iniuslice, deceil, sarcasm, noise, cleaning rooms and lockers, and onions. Eilly per cenl ol lhe sludenls smoke. Smoking and drinking are approved ol il done in moderalion. Moderalion is lhe spice ol lile. Vices-my goodness!! Laziness, procraslinalion, lale hours, chewing gum, ealing, drinking and smoking, being clock conscious, and spending money lop lhe lisl. Swimming is lhe lavorile sporl lollowed secondly by horseback riding. Mosl ol lhe sludenls have done no exlra sludying, and lhose who have indulged, did so in Psychialry, Music and French, Religion, Physics and Sociology. l EXTRA!! EXTRA!! READ ALL ABOUT IT!! E.
