DRAMATIC CLUB The Dramalic Club was organized in l928 wilh lhe purpose oi providing an oppodunily for all fhose inreresred lo show any zlre- maric abiliry as well as giving enferlainmenr for olhers. Since rhal' lime rhe club has been acrive nol' only in producing plays. buf also in sponsoring orher social evenrs. The Chrisrrnac parry which follows rhe carol pracrice every year is arranged by rho club. The enrerrainmenr has included lableaux depic+ing scenes ol 'rhe Chrisrmas sfory, slcerches from The Bird's Chrisrmas Carol, dramarizarion of The Orher Wise Man, and a play enlilled Where Lies 'lhe Child. Among rhe plays given have been The Rehearsal, Children of 'l'he Moon, So This ls London, and lhe uniorgelrable Wha+ Price Anceslorsf' wirh M. Keirh as Bob, fhe handsome hero, and E. Ruppe as Mandy, lhe colored mamr-ny: also i'Our Aunl' from California, wilh E, Kaiser, E. Price, and N. Nighringale. and The Slepmolherf' wilh E. l-lall as Perkins, 'rhe English burler. One of lhe oursranding evenls of I934 was lhe minsrrel show virh irs variery ol +alen'r, and above all wirh Miss Phillips as rhe lronr hal? of Dobbin, 'rhe old grey mare. The club would have grear digi- culry in producing all i'l's enlerlainmenl' wilhoul' having Miss Phillip' lo see aboul lighrs and props and many ofher irnporlanl ilerns. Las? spring, fhe Forum sponsored a cabarei, 'rhe proceeds of which were spem' on buying more 'rhan lilly dolls and lilleen har- monicas lo send lo Mrs. Breckenridge of 'rhe Fronfier Nursing Service for dislribulion 'rhis Chrisimas among l'he children in 'rhe mounlains ol Kenlucky. Forum members and friends dressed lhe dolls in The mosl deleclable coslumes and +his fall a beauly show of dolls was held.
