0 ??t 40 t Street at 0 7% ' itf£tlC D%t€ e ' StUft 0 2i £4€OH4tH ' Editors Tom Donovan and Lee McGuire and layout men Jim Robertson and Dick DePeaux mastermind the blast off into outer space. t6e St M We have tried to make this volume of our yearbook a memorable one. We have named it, have given it a hard cover with attractive end pages, and have dedicated it to a most worthy person. We feel justified in doing all of these things because we are the first four year students to graduate from Premontre. As we laid plans for The Cadet we decided to push our imaginations to the limit. Sergeant Bettine gave us the inspiration when we saw his models of the NIKE and the Honest John Rockets. We thought that in this age of spatial exploration we could, if we tried, thrust our¬ selves into an imaginary orbit and view our school from a never-before experienced vantage point. Thus on the dividing pages you will find pictured the various editors and their staffs carrying our theme throughout the book. We hope you like the results of our forced imagery. We feel that in using our theme we have done a service to our country too, for never before has a group of high school students gone into orbit about the earth to report back to a high school its findings about that school. In fact to this, the date of our writing no other group of humans has ever manned a satellite into outer space. We feel that we have accomplished something great, if only in our imaginations. ■■ 1 I ta jfsMBf T ■ p,. We have introduced a hard cover with end pages, and we want to be the first to dedicate our book to some worthy person or cause. We could find no one more deserv¬ ing than our Miss Killeen. She has been with the school from the very beginning, and we feel that every student of old Central and now Premontre has at some time or other conferred with her. All have seen her gracious smile and have heard her kindness-filled voice, every¬ one knows that she is very much a part of Premontre that no one is more devoted than she. Tims we dedicate this volume of the Cadet to Miss Margaret Killeen. 1 V V 4f ■ THE RIGHT REVEREND SYLVESTER M. KILLEEN, O. Praem Abbot of St. Norbert Abbey THE VERY REVEREND RICHARD D. MULROY, O.
