Spanish Club Spanish Club is an active social organization for students who have had at least one year of Spanish. Attending the Folk Fair in Milwaukee and going on a “European Tour” with the French and German Clubs are just two of the annual, major events in which the members can partici¬ pate. During the school year, members have been known to stage a mock initiation, celebrate a “Fiesta de Navidad” at Christmas time, and plan a special springtime activity. It is the objec¬ tive of the club to promote the use of the Spanish language and to foster an appreciation for His¬ panic culture in general. German Club Any student who has an interest in any aspect of Germany was welcomed into German Club. This year, the activities planned helped to acquaint members with the cultural aspects of Germany. The main objective of German Club, however, is to have fun. German Club joined oth¬ er language clubs for the trip to the Folk Fair in Milwaukee and “European Tours” night in Febru¬ ary. French Club French Club attempts to in¬ clude the ideas, customs, foods, and language of France in its activities. Travelling to the Folk Fest in Milwaukee, selling and distributing valen¬ tines, and having a French banquet in the spring were some of the larger events of the year. MUSE The Preble MUSE, Preble ' s literary magazine, was pub¬ lished by the MUSE staff under the direction of Mrs. 0. Show¬ ers. The staff collected, ar¬ ranged, and preserved in the magazine, the literary efforts of the student body. Other projects that mem¬ bers of the MUSE staff under- m took were a Christmas tea for the faculty, meetings with pub¬ lishers and authors, and the Quill and Scroll initiation and awards. t h BOTTOM ROW: (L-R): L.
