Senior Christmas Play Every year the senior class gives a play for the mentally handi¬ capped children of the community. At the end of the play, the kids are given candy and small toys. Comments by several seniors: “I was surprised by how the boys acted. They were better than the girls. “I thought it was really worthwhile. I think the seniors got just as much out of it as the kids.” I was nervous at first, but after I started talking to the kids I real¬ ized they were just like any other kids.” Ji ... ■ • - •: ;? . • ' 32

the 1973 Junior Prom. The decore utilized deco¬ rative murals, a wishing well, and a fountain to add to the restive atmo¬ sphere. The combined efforts of many Juniors spending long hours of work on the murals, de¬ picting different coun¬ tries of the world, en¬ hanced the evening of over 100 couples. High¬ lighting the evening was the crowning of the Prom King and Queen, Steve Fox and Jody Jaklin . Mitzi Swim tells how she saw the night: “Prom night, when I saw all the couples oohing and ahh- ing at the scenery, it final¬ ly struck me that all the sore fingers, aching backs, and untiring en¬ thusiasm which went into the hanging of the mu¬ rals, crepepaper, plus the dragging of the chairs and tables up from the cafeteria, was well worth

Forensics Play This year’s forensics play was entitled, “The Farce of the Worthy Master Pierre Patelin.” It’s the story of a poor lawyer who gets his client off the hook by trickery, but because of the trickery loses his fee.
