MALLOY acts as Preble's Supply Officer, in charge of all ship's Hpeopleu functions such as laundry, pay, ship's store, food service and equipment repair. Under his guidance the Supply Department was transformed into a highly professional organization, striving for nothing less than excellence in all functions. Lieutenant Commander MALLOY's previous tours have been on the USS OBSERVATION ISLAND CEAG 1545 as Assistant Supply Officer, Supply Officer tours at Newport Rhode Island and Naval Support Activity Chu Lai, Viet Nam as well as Pacific Missile Range Facility Barking Sands, Hawaii. He holds the Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, along with numerous certificates of merit and letters of commendation for outstanding performance of duty. 50
