Under the guidance of Mrs. Snyder, the class of '61 started out with the election of the fol- lowing officers: William Hoad, president, Stanley West, vice president, Dorothy Peek, secretary, Allison Mann, treasurer, Rosamonde Brown and Mar- lene Heater, Student Council representativesg and David Hulse, alternate. Our class started the year with a stationery campaign for raising money. We recently held a bakesale which was very successful. The Sophomore class is planning to join with the Freshmen in put- ing on the Freshmen-Sophomore Dance. Charlotte Finley was our Harvest Queen repre- sentative. The Sophomore Class is represented in vari- ous activities. Allison Mann, Wendell Hester, and Class Officers Cleft to rightj Dorothy Peek- Robert Hibbard play on Varsity basketball. On the Sec., Allison Mann-Treas., William Hoad-Pres., J. V. team are Otis Davis, Dale Dilenbeck, Robert Stanley West-Vice Pres. Jensen, George Robinson. Charlotte Finley, Rosamonde Brown, and Dorothy Peek are on the J. V. cheerleading squad. In the F. F. A. are William Loucks, Leslie Babcock, George Robinson, Milton Updike and Francis Young. In the F. H. A. are Rosamonde Brown, Elizabeth Filia, Elizabeth Smith, Jane Mosher, Marlene Heeter, Lois McCloud, Loretta Wagner, and Dorothy Peek. We are hoping this will be a memorable and successful year. At the beginning of the year we elected class officers. They are: President-David Co- nine, Vice-President-Thomas Babcock, Secretary- Scheryl Carpenter, and Treasurer-Gail Stinson. The class held a bake sale in the office of Walter Pizura and did very well. we are having a Freshman, Sophmore dance this year as has been the custom in past years. It will be on April lOth. Our class is planning on a trip to Roseland Park this year, which we are all looking forward to. We are proud of the boys in our class who were chosen for the J. V. basketball team.
