In the freshman class we strutted down the hall, Thinking that in school we'd just have a ball. Then Prof cams around the corner one fine dayg We all turned 'round and ran the other way. Freshmen, pea-green freshmen, didn't know right from wrong. In the soph'more class we learned new tricks We always got caught and landed in a fix. We loved our squirt-gmms and paper wade, But when Prof peeked around we cried Ye godsl' Soph'mores, gay young soph'mores, lazy and full of frm. When we werexjuniors we thought we were sly, 1 Never did our homework, just watched the time go by In all our many testswe'd seldom pass, The teachers looked and groaned, Oh, what a class! Juniors, jolly juniors, jumped to the senior class. l In the senior class we buckled down Always did our work and never fooled around We're going to face the world, oh me, oh ml So here's where we say to you a fond good-bye! Seniors, grand old seniors- going to face the world! f' A GORDON BATES eady, rJ1l11nr1 and Able em, Q Ngilf WOIERY JOE GUTCN 'Come Hone' f Basketball 1,2,3,h, Baseball l,2, 3 Chorus 1,2,3, Yearbook Staff Class Treasurer 1, Intra murals l,2,3,h Chorus l,2,3, Sen1or Pla rational Honor Society 3,11 Pres1dent lg, Yearbook Staff First Prize Spealcmg Contest 3, Boys' State Representatlve 3 Basketball 1, F F A 1,2,3,h Sentinel la, F F.A Speaking Rochester Traffic Safety Council Delegate 3 Yearbook Staff 3 ,h, Student Council I4 Secretary lg, Band 1,2, 3,h, Chorus 1,2,3,h, Natlonal Honor Society 3,l4, Cheerleader 1,2,3,1,, Candidate for F.F.A and Potato Queen 3 ,h, Intra murals Captain 3,h, Senior Play Q 4 RICHARD CONLEY Johnny, Get Your Gun MARLAJENSEN Three 0'c1ock in the Morning J ' ' 2, o 0 , If , 4 V a ' , B 3 ,R , . . O SENIOR ASS PL On Ifovember h, l955 the Senior Class, under the direction of Iirs. i-.Y.F?. Merritt, presented the play State Pair by Phil Stong. The plot rerolved around the Frake Family's trip to the Iowa State Fair and the experiences there of the various members of the family. There was a double love story involved since Harry and Wayne left Harry and Eleanor, respectively, and became interest- ed in Pat and Emily at the fair. nut love or no love, all were concerned with whether or not Blue Foy, their prize boar, would win the sweepstakes. He did, and in the end, Hardy and Kayne both returnei to their childhood sweethearts, a bit wiser for their trip to the State Fair.
