Food for thought. At Pratt, Nutrition and Dietetics majors all take Food 1. But here, the similarity ends. The diversity in this department extends from management to therapeutic and clinical services. Take Nutrition Week for example, students prepared a variety of international cuisine and enjoyed both the delicacies and the nutritive value. Perhaps you could say the heart of the department is Professor Orta. His princi- ples and integrity touch all students in the department, giving depth to the science of food. Giving it flavor. Although the new department compu- ters will further aid students in compre- hending unique diets and eating habits, the eating habits of the students in Nutri- tion and Dietetics may defy even the computer. A stone's throw from the department, Mike’s Coffee Shop effectively tempts these students to eschew their best nutritional instincts. Here, you can find company and warmth along with a cheeseburger and fries. You may even get some advice from Angie or hear a new joke from Mike. Add- ing a dash of friendship makes Pratt much easier to digest. 23
