If you have not succeeded, it is not because you have placed improper examples and wrong ideals before us. When we did wrong. you showed us where we had made our mistakes, but did not condemn us for them. When we did well, you expressed your satisfaction with a job well done, thus making us set higher standards for ourselves. Your abundance of confidence in our ability proved that you took the time to know and understand us better than we know and understand ourselves.
