CHANCE- Chink Track Letterman 3, 4, Basketball Squad 4, Soccer Letter- man 4g Navigation Club 3, Sports Club, Vice-president, Sec- retary 4. Bob's been at Pratt for just two years and it's still a wonder to us that anybody could be quite like him. Devil-may-care- absolutely-reckless, his name certainly fits him. An all 'round person, and a grand sport, Bob's proved he can take it on the soccer field as well as give it out on the dance floor. EILEEN GORDON COLLAMORE Dramatics 1, 2, 3, 4g Field Hockey Squad 1, 2, 3, 4g Letter- man 4, School Play 2, 3, 43 Chairman Sophomore Dance 23 Chairman junior Dance 3g Class Secretary 2, 33 Class Treas- urer 4g Pi Club 3g Secretary-Treasurer 43 Student Council 33 Secretary-Treasurer 45 Declamations 2, 3, 4, D.A.R. Award 4g Senior Play 43 One-act Plays 1, 2, 3, 4g Co-Honor Essay 4. In the social, athletic, and scholastic held, Eileen has suc- ceeded in attaining tot? honors. Her incessant store of good humor and unfailing willingness to cooperate with the class has made her one of our most valuable members. In nursing, her future held of endeavor, we join in wishing her the very best of luck and happiness. MARGARET E. DOYLE- Peggy Field Hockey Squad 33 Baseball 1, 2, 3, School Play 3, 4g Chairman Christmas Dance 4, Senior Play 4, One-act Plays 2, 3, 4, Art Club 13 Dramatic Club 2, 3, 43 Declamations 2, 5, 4. Our hats are off to Peg for being an indispensable member of the Class of 1940. Versatile, is certainly Peggy's trade mark. She has taken part in everything and anything. Contrary to the law of averages she has succeeded both scholastically and socially. Gay and charming, Peg has proved herself a person we are happy to have known and hope to see more of in the future. SARAH ESTER FERRANTI Camera Club 1, Chorus 3g Operetta 33 Basketball 33 Home Making Club 4, Baseball Manager 4. Shy by nature, you'd never know Sarah was around from self-assertion, but her quiet charm has found for her a lasting circle of friends. Her helping hand has been extended on many occasions. Her immediate desire is to enter the field of nursing and we wish her a speedy R.N. 10

Betty has proved herself to be a necessity in all girls' sports. Her cheerfulness is but one of her assets. She has been a faithful member of the chorus, taking part in operettas, and has willingly served on our reception committees at dances. We wonder if Imogene will retain the practice she is getting in housekeeping. JENN I E NANCY CARFI- Jen Chorus 15 Operetta 15 Art Club 25 Home Making Club 3, 45 Baseball Letterman 2, 3, 45 Basketball 4. Jennie is one of those rare people who is always willing to help. She is faithful in her assignments and a real worker in the Homemaking department. We would have missed a great deal without the ready cooperation of Jennie. GRAHAM M. CARTER- Gram Baseball 15 Camera Club 1 5 Wood Working Club 25 Soccer Squad 25 Letterman 3, 45 Navigation Club 35 School Play 3: Prattler Staff 45 Senior Play 4. Until you've heard Graham laugh you just haven't heard anything. There are those who insist that Graham's masculine giggle is catching and we're inclined to agree with them, judg- ing from the sounds that sometimes issue forth from study hall. Anyway, Graham's real specialty is soccer and many times his sturdy defense has saved us a ball game. EVERETT H. CHAMPLIN- Ev Camera Club President 35 Basketball Squad 45 Osage Board 45 Senior Play 45 Sports Club 45 Cheer Leader 1. Evie is the little man who's always there when it comes to snapping action shots. He and his camera are inseparable. His good humor is exceeded only by his inexpressible wit. We are going to miss you, Evie, and we wish you lots of luck in the photography field. 9

Ros is the A puller downer in our class. And too, Ros has established herself in many extra curricula activities-having been vice-president of her class in her sophomore year and president in .her junior year. As a Senior she managed the hockey squad and worked tirelessly in the leading role of the operetta. Miss Evans and Mrs. Ford will vouch for her effi- ciency. We're sure that someday Ros will find that rainbow she's been looking for. ROYAL E. Royal is a competent and dependable individual. He is generally serious, but he has his moments, and has proved valuable to the class, both as a four-year officer and business manager of the Osage. Royal is ambitious and even tempered and we prophesy that he will go far in his chosen field. ALICE GERALDINE GRIFFIN- Gerry Basketball Squad 15 Baseball Squad 1, 45 Chorus 1, 25 Op- eretta 15 Prattler 35 Student Council 45 Senior Play 45 Dramatics 4. Gerry's ready wit and charming personality have proved themselves in numerous instances and we have decided that without her the class would have missed a great deal of fun and real entertainment. Her helpful suggestions have been a source of delight and a decided enlightenment as to what can be done with a little imagination. Gerry hopes to be a jour- nalist and with her ability we would say she has practically reached her goal. KATHLEEN ELLEN GRIFFIN- Kate Field Hockey Letterman 1, 2, 35 Captain 45 Baseball 45 Letterman 1, 2, 35 Dramatics 3, 45 Chorus 1, 25 Operetta 25 Osage Board 4. Kate is one of our number 1 athletes with a strong hockey stick and a mind of her own. She has given us much amuse- ment with her jokes and deep chuckle. Lucky is the person who has tasted her cookery. Because of her will to work, Kate will find much success. 11
