And as we look into it we see the immortal images of the seventy- six seniors who passed on in the memorable year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-two. It is now 1962 and on the poop deck of an unknown ship stands Admiral Adams. The Admiral, when asked how hc acquired this position, stated, I was found A-I physically and F-0 mentally. ,lust what the draft board ordered. George follows in General Washington's footsteps. you know. He didn't chop down any cherry trees but he sails at half mast! Keep your decks clean. George. Those three stooges of Pratt High, Beck. Logue. and Coulter. have now taken the place of the original three. They have made Pratt famous. Prepare yourself for the heat, we're now in Africa! Here we see Miss Marjorie Bennett, who has recently established a missionary school. Returning to the L. S., the image of Marjorie Spicer, rep- resentative from Kansas, flashes before our eyes. lt seems she has just submitted a bill to congress asking that Preston city limits be moved inside the city limits of Pratt. She's been working on it for 10 years. What,s this? It looks like a room filled to the brim with Babes and Babies? Putting on our 'gspecksv we make out the faces of Anita Tregellas, Betty Jones, Frances Hemphill, and Alice Smith land litterl. In another corner stand Norma Bowlin and family lwho is usually seen on the coast-'gguard- ing7,???l, Rowena Hobbs and her husbandis pigs. We now spy the reflection of Sarah Pierce. who has fin- ally accomplished her lifelong ambition. She is now manager of the Spud Dept. in the new Goats llillion store. Coming back to Pratt we see Marge Helsel and Gilbert llieks. who are managers of North and South Dillons. By polishing our lVlirrorl' we can make out the -tth grade room at Central. where Miss Norris. the teacher, is at the blackboard trying to spell cat. Whatls the matter Kathleen. everyone knows that itis K-A-T. Eyeing a piece of sheet music we notice that the rage of the jazz world is none other than Milton Goodwin. He plays a mean sax and is the leader of his own Dixieland band. Turning to the Hillbilly world we find that Earnest Tubb is now mimicking Gene Blasi, the Hillbilly Hick instead of vice-versa. We mourn the passing of these characters. b , This is the end of a tale well calculated to keep you in SLSPENSE! l l Zhu 71445 Life flows on and on like a river. Do you remember way back in grade school when little Karen Christopher used to chase Terry Cantwell around for a kiss between classes. Also Gene, with his private seat, used to scoot to the fire escape to throw things at the people going by. Oh! Those were our younger days. At last the great day arrived and we entered the big high school as 7th graders. After the 8th grade the Freshman Class was well on its way to success, in one way or another. The hit of the year was the class picnic held at Elm Mills. We all came home red. but not so red as Norma's face when she arose from that swan dive minus a bathing suit. The Sophomore picnic at Sterling Lake was accompanied by rain but everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. The high- light of the Sophomore year was the prom. Remember the work and effort it took to make the Stardust', theme carry over, but it was all worthwhile. I don't think it will ever be forgotten. Thrills and spills in the junior year included the class play, A Little Honeyf' Who can forget Marjorie Woolwine's ap- pearance as the maid. The junior-senior banquet brought out the vim and vigor of our students. Most of them were white- washed from head to toe but managed to get rid of it before the big event. Night Life on the Sea brought out the best of talent, as our banquet program progressed with sailors and songs of far away places. No better place than Lake Afton could have been chosen for our picnic. Some of the girls got ambitious and got away with a row boat. Weren't they surprised when the owner showed upl Our now famous class has reached its last year. Dignified Seniors at last! The class play went over with a bang!! And mum day, we'll never forget the lipsticked beauties. Skip day came around and students scattered far and near and had a hilarious time. Hobo day brought new faces and figures to PHS. Who'd think anyone could look like we did!-! The year ended with the traditional picnic and banquet. We didnit know whether we were happy or sad at the picnic because it was our last big party together. Graduation came and we went around looking like wheels for a week in our caps and gowns. Yes, looking back we'll always remember old PHS and we're sure it will remember us.
