The Junior College Choir, under the direction of Mr. Floyd Carpenter, performed for several occasions this year. One of the most spectacular was their operetta, Down in the Valley. The group also sang for the Student Congress, the Christmas program and commencement. Several ensembles, made up of members of the choir, kept busy singing for local civic clubs and various other school activities, such as the annual field trip taken each spring. 47

VA ogy LE , H ? AL The annual Valentine Dance, held in the Junior College Auditorium, February 9, was one of the big events of the season. The King and Queen of Hearts, Larry Tranbarger and Mary Sims, were crowned in a special ceremony preceeding the dance and reigned over it with their Royal Attendants, Kenneth Hull and Norma Rose. 48
